Who is responsible

What we collect and why

• Newsletter and free guides: your email address, the language of the site and the page you subscribed from. Purpose: send you the requested document and our travel emails. Legal basis: your consent.
• Project or contact form: the information you enter yourself. Purpose: answer you. Legal basis: your request.
• Audience and link measurement: a first-party identifier stored on your device, the pages viewed, the buttons clicked and the booking partner you were sent to. Purpose: understand which pages are useful and how the site is financed. Legal basis: your consent, requested before measurement starts.
• Purchases: if you buy a guide, payment is processed by Stripe. We never see your card details.

How long we keep it

Measurement data: 25 months maximum. Newsletter data: until you unsubscribe, then a suppression record so we do not write to you again. Messages: 3 years. Purchase records: as required by accounting law.

Who processes data on our behalf

Vercel (hosting), Supabase (database, European region), Resend (transactional email), Stripe (payments). Our booking partners receive only the fact that a visit came from us, through the link you click. We never sell your data.

Your rights

You can ask for access, correction, deletion, portability or restriction of your data, and object to its processing, by writing to hello@thethailandcompass.com. An unsubscribe link is present in every email. You may also lodge a complaint with your national data protection authority.

Cookies and similar technologies

We use a technical cookie required for the site to work, and, only after your consent, a first-party measurement identifier. We use no advertising cookie and no third-party tracker. You can withdraw your consent at any time, as easily as you gave it.
